Howard Gardner is the theorist behind the multiple intelligence theory. He believes that children learn in a variety of ways and challenges the current educational system which assumes that everyone can learn the same materials in the same way. He has broken down this theory into eight different intelligences.

For every thematic unit in my classroom I always make sure to involve activities in each of these categories so that I am reaching all of my learners.
